Wordpress "Editor User" cannot access s2member in dashboard

Hi guys,
i want to make a change to my admin wordpress users on a client website. The administrators are so incompetent they are having problems even getting their login credentials right and Wordfence 2FA is only adding to the Forest Gump line “Stupid is as Stupid Does” problem.

So what i want to do is lower the access level of these guys to Wordpress Editor instead of admin. This way they will not:

  1. potentially screw up the entire installation by their stupidness
  2. not get further exascerbated by the wordfence security requirement for admins to also use 2FA.

now the problem is, when i lower a user to Editor, they cannot access s2members in the dashboard. Can this be changed?

You have two approaches:

  1. Structure your model so that your editors do not need a s2member menu option
  2. Use an admin menu editing plugin to add missing menu items (see https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/menu+editor/)

They need access to the wordpress users in order to be able to export CSV files for the purposes of performing Microsoft Word Mail Merge.

Then use an admin menu editing plugin to add missing menu items (see https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/menu+editor/)

This is not a s2member issue. Just a general user role management issue.

You will also need a role customisation plugin to enable editors to have those extra powers. See https://en-au.wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/
