Will the older posts at primothemes.com be preserved?

When I was first getting started, I saved dozens of bookmarks to code snippets at the old primothemes.com, posted by Jason, Cristián and Raam.

Will they be preserved during this transition?

Yes, I intend to preserve all the data in the old forum, although I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep that domain name.

Would you like to share here your list of bookmarked URLs here, so I make sure those are saved?

You can access the information via the WayBack Machine.

Example: See http://www.s2member.com/primothemes/?primo[u]=%2F&primo[q]=primo%5bu%5d%3D

This is a Feb 2017 snapshot at https://web.archive.org/ .

You can pick another snapshot in time if you want. Your choice.

If you can preserve it in a publicly accessible manner, the domain name is not as important.

But - since it is registered in your name, it might be easier to keep is as is. Although you can get better and less expensive registrar than godaddy. And it looks like it does not expire until 2020-03-19. That is the date shown publicly. You might want to double check it by logging in.

That is not a reliable or sustainable approach. It would be better for the new team to preserve it, as it will save them on support costs.

BTW - Your link
http://www.s2member.com/primothemes/?primo[u]=%2F&primo[q]=primo%255bu%255d%3D

does not work. It just goes to s2member, not primothemes or wayback

Sorry. Links are wrappered by the forum with forum tracker code and WayBack machine may be using time-limited links. So, as I said above…for a choice of snapshots go to the following page, click on 2017 and click on the green bullet on 8 Feb 2017.

https://web.archive.org/web/*/primothemes.com

Wayback machine remembers this forever. It is a reliable and sustainable approach to accessing legacy information from sites.

Because of copyright, unless Christian negotiates a copyright license for all the primothemes information and I.P. he won’t be able to put it on his new S2Members site. He may be able to. I won’t speculate. Christian will say.

Your call. I always go for what works vs. what might work.
