Will PayPal Subscription Changes Require Creation of Multiple User Accounts?

Since PayPal did away with the ability to modify existing subscriptions, it looks like we have to require users who WANT to upgrade to cancel their existing subscription and purchase an upgraded subscription. Does this mean they will need to create a new WordPress/s2Member user account with a different email address? The old “modify” button/process used to make membership level updates “in place” in the existing user/member record. I have a hunch there’s no longer a way to make that happen, and instead we have to ask existing users to create a new user account when they purchase their new subscription.

I’d love for somebody to tell me I’m wrong about this…

No, they can use the same user account. Just make sure they’re logged into it when they load the page with the new subscription button.
