Variable price registration form

Hi all,

I have two membership levels (Free and Paid). There are two types of paid members - full members and junior/student members (who should pay a discounted membership fee). As all paid members will have access to the same content, we do not wish to have two separate membership levels for full and student members.

In the membership fields, I have a “date of birth” field and a “student” checkbox. I was hoping to modify the pro form template to add some basic javascript to modify the subscription price based on the selection of the DOB and the status of the Student checkbox. This doesn’t appear to be possible as the price is not stored in the membership form and so can’t be manipulated by Javascript (at least I think this is the case!!).

Can anyone either correct me on the above or suggest an alternate approach?

Honestly, I suggest you rethink that conclusion. There’s no problem with having two different levels access the same content. I do it all the time, and it means far less work.

If you have content accessible to level 1 users (e.g. students), then it is by default accessible to level 2 users (e.g. full members) too.
