I have had a client approach me to create a member site. She is migrating from another platform called Wild Apricot and currently has 50,000 members and is looking to grow her organization to 100,000 members. Is s2 the right platform for her? One limitation I know for sure with S2 is the member import only allows you to import 1000 members at a time. So we’ll have trouble importing her members right from the start. Unless someone can suggest another way to import them all? Overall is this database just going to be too big for s2 to handle? If so, can anyone recommend a more “enterprise” member solution?
Using s2 with a massive list
One of the biggest pluses about s2Member is that it doesn’t create its own database tables. It just uses native WordPress database tables.
This means essentially that anything WordPress can handle, s2Member can also handle. WordPress can easily cope with 100,000 members, so s2Member will be fine.
OK but as a non techie - how will I import the existing 50,000 members into s2? s2’s import funciton only takes 1000 at a time…
