Use a Gravity Form for standard S2Member signup

Hi

I use the standard S2Member form to enable people to join our site - https://sippclub.com/sipp/join/ - everywhere else on the site, I use Gravity forms.

Is it possible to use a Gravity Form in place of the S2Member form, and if so, how do I do it?

Thanks.

Brian

Hi Brian.

Well, you’d need the s2 pro-form for payment, but if it’s just for registration, you can use Gravity, sure. You wouldn’t get the s2 custom profile fields, though, but maybe you have other profile fields available with Gravity that you’d be fine using… At the moment, s2’s profile fields don’t affect in any way content access, so you could store that info elsewhere if you want.

Does that help?

Thanks Cristián, good to hear from you. I hope you’re keeping well.

It’s great to see Gravity can be used. SIPPclub is free, so S2 is only used for registration.

I use Wordpress as my CRM system. The custom profile fields provide me with an easy look up for my clients financial position. The notes field enables me to keep a manual diary of all emails and calls with customers.

Is it possible for the information entered on a Gravity form to populate the custom fields in S2?

There isn’t an integration like that, sorry. You could have someone develop it for you, though.

s2Member uses a serialized array for the custom fields, and stores them all together in a single row of WP’s usermeta table. Other plugins more likely would look for fields by themselves in their own rows.

If you need to backup the custom fields data to re-import some other way, you can use s2’s exporter. https://s2member.com/kb-article/advanced-importexport-tools/

I hope that helps.

Thanks Cristián.

I’m afraid this is beyond my knowledge. If you know anyone who would be able to make this work, I’d be very interested to have their contact details.
