UPDATED: PayPal not accepting 1 user for recurring payment

UPDATE: Phoned PayPal and they’re having a few issues with recurring payments. They have a tech team working on fixing the issue now and will notify me via email once it’s fixed. Apparently this is affecting quite a few people so just wanted to let you all know.

Hi, hoping a fellow s2member user can help me out.

The problem I have is isolated to 1 user and I have not idea what so every why this is happening but PayPal won’t accept their recurring payment. Everyone else is fine, just this 1 user.

They signed up to our website for a free account and then proceeded a few days later to upgrade to premium. Paypal creates a recurring payment and allows access to our site and then minutes later cancels the payment downgrading them again. No money has been exchanged or taken from the customers account. I understand this is something I should contact PayPal about however their support is shocking!

This is what it looks like on PayPal from our end, all the transactions are from the same person. I did notice that their account wasn’t verified, however I’ve walked them through the steps to get verified and they now are. Still no having it though.
