I have users who have limited computer experience.
Loging in is made more difficult when a user can not see what they have typed as a password.
I’d like the option for users to “unhide” the characters as they type an initial S2 password.

Getting precisely what you want isn’t possible simply by adding code to your site. Your users need instead to install a browser extension.
The best you can do from within your site is give your users a button to press so that they could check what they have typed. But I suspect they would find that even more confusing.
And, by the way, it isn’t s2Member’s login form. It’s just WordPress’s form.
