Unable to access CCAP content on fresh install

Just tried running this on a test server, and ive had this working fine a few years ago, but not sure if something has changed in recent versions of s2member + ccap configuration.

  • Created a fresh install of WordPress
  • Installed s2member + pro
  • added “access-s2member-ccap-test” + “test.jpg” to the s2member-files directory
  • defined the MOP page + download restriction settings + inline file viewing
  • added the “test” ccap to the admin user profile anyway

Trying to access /wp-content/plugins/access-s2member-ccap-test/test.jpg just redirects me to my MOP page… WHY!!!

Spent quite a while looking in to this, and cant figure it out, any ideas?

Does the folder itself have the correct ownership and permissions set?

I thought that may have been correct! But unfortunately not, tried changing the permissions on
s2member-files and the ccap folder to 777, but no change unfortunately.

Still unable to access the test.jpg file

Did you check or try changing the ownership? That’s different from the permissions.

Currently dont see any options to change ownership on the shared hosting account i have.

Don’t test with admin user - they have special rights, limitations like ccaps and levels don’t works for them. Create a test user instead.

Created a test user with s2member level 2 permissions + correct ccaps, and still got taken to the mops page

RESOLVED…
… Im an idiot. On every new test domain/subdomain i created in my hosts cPanel Cachewall was turned on.

So all this was just a basic Cache issue!

Thanks for the help anyway!

That’s great! I told you it is a tiny missing thing…
