Trying to switch from s2Member to AAM

Hi all,

I am trying to remove the s2member plugin however am having difficulty as when I do it defaults to the admin account having no permissions and I have to restore from a backup. Do you guys have any idea what might be going on?

Thanks
Michael

Hi Michael.

s2Member never restricts/removes access from the Administrator, so I’m not sure what you’re experiencing there.

If you want to remove s2Member, it’s as easy as deactivating the s2Member Framework and then removing the s2Member folders from the /wp-content/plugins/ directory. If you also want all s2Member data to be removed from the database, then before deactivaing s2Member, disable this setting: WP Admin > s2Member > General Options > Deactivation Safeguards

I hope that helps.

Hi Christian,

Followed your steps and it worked! Not sure if it was some other things I did or not but hey! It works now, thanks mate.
