Total members and total earning don't match

Hi Guys,

I just noticed this month that when doing the calculation for my earning the number of member and the total amount of earning don’t match it’s a hudge difference, nothing has changed all the settings are the same as they have been since the beggining, Thoughts? Are there a bunch of members not paying but still get member access? any ideas what could be happening and how I can solve this. Thank you so so much for all your help!

We don’t have enough details here to be helpful. I’d suggest you start by looking at your payment processor’s accounts to see who has paid and who hasn’t. Then you can troubleshoot from there.

I did what you told me and revised the total of members on the site, the total of subscribers on paypal and stripe and added them up. I went one by one and cleaned the members list on my site meaning changed the role on the members that did not demote and were basically coming in the site for free. That was last month now I went through the same steps because again there is a difference of 144 members that have access but are not in either one of the lists (paypal nor stripe), have you ever heard of this happening what can I do to fix it? you help is most appreciated. Are those getting membership for free are using a Stripe, or a PayPal form, or a PayPal button?

Hi Tim, thank you for getting back to me. They are using Stripe and PayPal form. The site is set to demote recurring subscribers that cancel nor continue paying but it does it randomly sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. This all started happening after I moved it from a WPmanaged environment to a shared hosting the URL was different since it was the staging site, don’t know if this info helps but I have checked all the settings and they seem to be right, checked the stripe and PayPal webhooks and they are fine, don’t know what to do next. Been trying everything.

Should I try a custom cronjob? also have a question, when demoting a user from s2member to the subscriber, should I delete all the information contained on the s2Member Configuration & Profile Fields should I delete all the info inside the (Paid Subscr. Gateway, Paid Subscr. ID, Paid Subscr. CID)? I thank you so much for your time. M
