Toolbar not visible

I prepared a role for our ‘membership administration employee’. In this role he/she should be able to change details of members. I created a special role because I did not want to assign the ‘administrator role’, but on the other hand the user should have access to the user-entry in the Dashboard.
Although I indicated at user-level that the toolbar should be available, the dashboard does not show up. Seems to me it is a problem of access rights. Any idea what capability I should add to this role?
I already added the capability of ‘show_admin_bar’.

This is nothing to do with s2Member. Something else is causing your admin bar to disappear, like another plugin, a plugin conflict, or a javascript problem.

I already changed the role of this user to ‘administrator’, and than it worked fine. So it has to be some access control issue

But that doesn’t mean that it’s an issue controlled by s2Member. Something else is controlling it.

Could be, but what…?

As I said, “another plugin, a plugin conflict, or a javascript problem.”

If it’s working for the admin, another plugin looks most likely. I’d look first at a user’s edit page, and see if the admin bar has been disabled there. If so, it’s almost certainly been done by another plugin.
