Thinking of buying Pro

Hello!

I am thinking of buying s2member Pro. I have another membership plugon today, but s2member
seems to have mor of what I want, considering I’m more or less a programmer :).

I’m going to use s2 as customer portal for selling my software, rather than a membership site protecting content.

In the docs it states that you MUST have a Membership Options Page. My question is, can this
be the landing page?

My scanario is that i have a landing page with a price matrix with buy now buttons for each
price level(monthly and yearly). The way I have set it up is I have two pages, one for each price level.
So clicking on theese buttons forwards the customer to one of the pages. I would use Stripe Pro forms for this I guess.

This logic brakes somehow if I need to have a separate Membership Options Page in between.

Sorry if I’m not making any sense here, but I hope you get the picture.

Hey Westereng,

Yes, you can certainty set it up that way. The Membership Options Page can be any page in WordPress and you can then link to other pages that contain the actual Pro-Forms for checkout. The Membership Options Page is just the page that s2Member redirects people to if they try accessing something they don’t have permission to access. How you setup the actual checkout process is entirely up to you.

Another question if I may. Is everything possible to localize? Like error messages, and messages from stripe?

Everything in s2Member should be translatable, yes, including any errors that s2Member generates as part of the Stripe Pro-Form processing. Please see these two articles:

Responses from Stripe that come in via the Stripe popover (e.g., where the customer adds their credit card) come directly from Stripe and s2Member doesn’t have control over that. (s2Member also never sees the credit card information input by the customer in that dialog—that goes straight to Stripe and Stripe’s API replies to s2Member with a token that s2Member then uses to determine if the card was properly charged. This is a big benefit of using Stripe, as you don’t have to worry about credit card numbers appearing in your logs or anywhere on your server.)
