Taking just three payment for site membership

Hi,

I have a client who want to offer a three month membership of their site with two payment options:

  1. One single payment.
  2. Three monthly payments.

They only want three payments to be taken (since the single payment is being split in three ways) and then they want the recurring payment plan to cancel off in Paypal and access for the site to end.

I know that I can set up three month’s access with a single payment, but it is possible to set up three monthly payments that end after the three month period?

If that isn’t possible is there another approach to setting this up that might work. The payment is quite large and we really want the split option since few users will be keen on the single payment option.

Thanks,

Matthew

Yes, both are possible. The first is already available built-in to s2Member. The second requires just a minor manual tweak. See this: https://s2member.com/kb-article/how-do-i-offer-an-installment-plan/

That’s great. Thanks for letting me know about page - it’s solved it for me.

Another question about this if that is okay…

I want to set up it up to take three monthly payment including the initial
payment.

I’ve set rrt=“3” within he signup form shortcake, but when I check this
within paypal it looks like this means that the it will take four payments
(the first instant payment plus three monthly payments).

Should I have the form set up with rrt=2 in order to take one initial
payment and then two further monthly payments?

Here is my shortcode:

[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form level=“3” ccaps="" desc=“£49.00 GBP Monthly for 3 months (USD price shown at checkout) - Mummy Tummy Transformation Program” ps=“paypal” lc="" cc=“GBP” dg=“0” ns=“1” custom=“www.beezkneezhive.com” ta=“0” tp=“0” tt=“D” ra=“49” rp=“1” rt=“M” rr=“1” rrt=“3” rra=“2” accept=“paypal” accept_via_paypal=“paypal” coupon="" accept_coupons=“1” default_country_code="" captcha=“0” success=" https://www.beezkneezhive.com/thank-you-and-welcome-to-thebeezkneez-hive/"/]

Thanks for your help,

Matthew

Yes. That’s correct. PayPal will take the initial payment and then as many recurring payments as listed in rrt=.

Great. That works fine now.

Thanks for your help.
