Sudden problems with restrictions now working

Work up this morning to a flurry of emails from users saying that they can’t access content. Looks like recent posts which are in a restricted category are redirecting to the membership incorrectly when users are at the correct membership level. Is there any recent update that might have caused a problem?

I didn’t think it was S2Member, but I wondered about interaction with other plugins. Indeed, it appears that it is updates after of Redirection after 2.8.1 in recent weeks which is causing recent posts with category restrictions to incorrectly work with member levels. It is not obvious until users complain of being redirected to the member upgrade page instead of seeing content. Warning to others!
