I have just signed up so not really sure if this is where I get help. I have people logging in to my membership as subscribers and accessing my Level 1 restricted area. Has this happened to anyone else. What can I do to stop these people.
Subscriber accessing level 1
Nope does not happen unless a page is unprotected or you have a conflict with another plugin/protection/caching mechanism. Make a subscriber account and find the error.
Here is the scenario. They use my login and become a Subscriber. I have no idea how they do that as I have tried to do the same using a different name and can not. When I look up my Users and specifically any subscribers it lists them as logging in at a specific time.
I do not use subscribers anymore, so that any that do login like that I delete them but it shows they last login time and the number of times they logged in.
All my pages are protected with S2 level 1
So whilst I understand you are saying Nope it can not happen. It is.
Please let me clarify again. I did not set these people up as a Subscriber. I am the only person with Admin login. So what you are saying is that someone is accessing my website from the backend?
I am not sure, have you disabled the option at s2member > general options > open registration? Also what other plugins are you using? As I watch this forum any time these issues come up a very high percentage come from another plugin effecting.
