I had a client contact me to say they’d used the stripe “modify” box to put in a new card for their payment, but that it had not worked. Even though the s2_member box said all was okay, they then got a failed payment on their subscription.
I checked in Stripe and the NEW card was set up correctly in the system. It was set as “default” too. BUT the actual subscription was still trying to take the payment from the OLD card.
I had to manually change stripe to take payment from the new card and then the payment went through correctly.
I’m seeing things like this more and more often as our subscribers have now been with us long enough for their cards to be expiring!
