Second database to run on wordpress site

Hi all

We use s2member pro for paid member signups and their info, etc. We’re using about 7 different levels. We’d like to implement a way for members to purchase an addition annual subscription at any time during the year. We will want them to choose ‘receive by email’ or ‘by physical address’ depending on how they want their subscription delivered. If they want electronic they are not billed, if physical then they need to pay an amount through paypal (their choice of one-off or recurring).

Tips/outline/steps please on how to implement this? Obviously, I am new to this. Can it be done in s2member or does another database need to be added to store the member choice for the subscription? Thank you for your help…

Well, the right answer is “sometimes it’s possible”… Depends of the exactly settings of your annual subscription, is it “subscription” or “one time purchase” and so on. So please show exactly info.

Here it is: Thanks for replying. Our subscriptions can happen any time of the year and can be one-off or recurring automatically (linked to PayPal). Is that enough info - anything else u need to know?

OK, first subscription you may create as a level, with 2 payment buttons for “annual payment” and for “recurring”. The second subscription you may create with ccaps. There can be any combination between levels and ccaps, just need to create right payment buttons/forms.

Thanks for that lead - I will research ccaps - Will creating the second subscription work at any time after the initial subscription i.e. as an add-on any time the user chooses it… Or does it have to happen at the same time as the first subscription?

Please read (and understand) how levels and ccaps works, then you will have the answer. Don’t consider my answer as “rude”, it’s just too difficult to explain here, moreover it is explained in the s2m’s admin pages. Just read and think.
