Recently upgraded and most of my settings were lost including PayPal and my membership levels. Also managed to delete my security encryption key.
s2MEMBER upgrade - DON'T!
Another issue is that when someone registers the website goes into a revolving mode and eventually posts a time-out message across the screen - Error 524 - not very elegant. The person is registered and emails sent out etc, The log is as follows - looks OK can anyone see if this is all OK? :

I must have upgraded s2Member hundreds, maybe even thousands of times, and I’ve never had this problem.
I’d suggest running the s2Member server scanner to help diagnose what’s going on. See https://s2member.com/kb-article/server-scanner/
It happened to me in the earlier days. Anyway, you are very helpful - thanks. I ran the scanner - never heard of it and it’s telling me I have a checksum issue here: /wp-content/plugins/s2member-pro. Anyway I reinstalled the whole thing including the framework and I still have the error;
The checksum for this plugin directory (cfb42bfdb1bb16e8703bcf2c65b915a6), does NOT match up with the official release of this plugin (1850a6ce86c8e04fb7f5a8364e0a5476).
An invalid checksum can be caused by an incomplete set of files. Or, by
files that should NOT appear in this directory. Or, by corrupted files
in this directory. Reinstalling the official release of this plugin
should correct this issue.
?? THis is where some customer service would help, no?
Reinstalling the Pro module via FTP should sort it out so, if it hasn’t, yes, you should definitely speak to customer service about that.
I didnt think you offered support unless one has a paid up membership - hence this forum?
Well, I had no way of knowing that your support had expired. A lot of people with current support still post on the forums. The reason we prefer a support ticket is then we can do things like request permission to log into your site.
This is really just a guess, but I see this in your logs:
Memory 24.53 MB :: Real Memory 26.00 MB :: Peak Memory 24.76 MB :: Real Peak Memory 26.00 MB
Looks like you are running out of memory.
Also, it is not unusual for people to make a mistake in the nstallation/upgrade of s2Member Pro. I’ve never seen that cause the problem you are describing, but it is worth checking out. Please see this KBA: http://s2member.com/kb-article/i-just-updated-s2member-and-my-shortcodes-are-showing/ for some troubleshooting tips.
