S2member update does not trigger notice on WordPress plugins page

Hi! Today I noticed that on the Plugins Admin page on my WordPress site (/wp-admin/plugins.php) my s2member version is multiple version out of date, yet I do not see any notice that an update is available.

At least one other plugin is showing an update notice, so I don’t think this is a problem with my site.

I’ve updated my s2member plugin manually, but I want to be notified of future updates.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Thanks!

If you miss too many that may happen. No problems for me. Must be on your site.

Not sure why you are not getting notifications for plugin updates. On our site they happen for s2member reliably.

Hmm, thanks for the replies. I am up-to-date now, so I’ll see whether the next update notifies properly. Thanks!

Okay! I hope you get updates now.

Was it the Framework or the Pro addon that didn’t notify you of updates?

Thanks @clavaque! Neither the Framework nor the Pro addon notified me of updates.

That’s interesting! The Pro addon partly checks against the Framework version you have, so if the Framework is as old as the Pro addon, Pro won’t tell you to update. But the Framework would be checked by wordpress against the plugins repository, and it should tell you if there’s a newer one available.

If you’re getting update notifications for other plugins, it should tell you about s2’s as well… I guess it’s as Felix said, that if the installed plugin is very outdated maybe wordpress doesn’t tell you anymore…

Thanks @clavaque! No, my WordPress is up-to-date, and as I said I did get the update for another plugin from WordPress.org.

So on the next Framework update, I will check whether or not I get the update notice from WordPress.org.

Hi, I think I have the same problem for some versions now. I had a notification for the framework. After updating the framework I didn’t get a notification for pro addon.
