S2member renewal can someone help with this

I have a question regarding the renewal process for users who choose direct bank transfer. Currently, users who pay via PayPal can easily renew their membership through the PayPal Pro form, which works well. However, for users who use direct bank transfer, how can they renew their membership?

At the moment, when trying to fill out the membership form again, an error appears stating that the user already exists, and they are unable to renew their membership. Do we need to send an email reminder, or is there a specific form or shortcode that allows them to renew their membership without encountering this issue?

As there’s no connection between any users bank and your site, your going to have to manually renew or at least maintain your users membership status.

Although on consideration it might be less work to set those users to automatically renew unless you see their bank payment has failed and you then manually demoted them. That’s assuming there are less users failing payment than not.

Modification forms and modification buttons should work. You should probably adjust what you show on your upgrade page(s), including your member’s area.

You can also use links created elsewhere or even send direct payment instructions via email, then manage their subscriptions EOT manually like @Gerard suggested.

It’s handy to use custom capabilities to flag users that pay you that way with a ccap called “manual” or “bank” or whatever you want. Then, they’ll receive dunning messages warning they’re losing access soon if they don’t pay you again (the latter requires s2member pro).
