Before I update the plugin I want to know if I will need to reconfigure my settings after the update.
Has anyone has experienced issues after updating to v.190822?
Is it necessary to do a backup before updating?

It’s always good practice to do a backup before updates, not talking specifically about s2Member.
There haven’t been issues reported with 190822.
The paypal modification button isn’t there now, because of a change in PayPal, the Goo.gl shortener was removed too, because it’s not available as a service anymore…
