S2 Welcome page: config not saved

Hi guys,
WP newbie here looking for clues on how to troubleshoot s2 configuration.
I have an existing s2Pro install, and noticed that all usrers were getting a 404 when they login.
Going to the s2>General Options>Welcome page, I see there is no page selected (ie, the option list is set to “select” and no page appears to be highlighted in the dropdown)
So:

  1. To test things, I tried setting the welcome page to three different pages (site home, about us, etc)…404s still returned on login and the General options>Welcome>config setting still shows as nothing selected.
  2. Then I created a new landing page using code from https://s2member.com/kb-article/customizing-your-login-welcome-page/ and tried to set that as the welcome page. Again, the configuration does not seem to stick.

Any clues as to:

  • What is wrong?
  • How to check or configure this setting directly in the db?

Hi John.

That sounds very strange.

What does your browser’s Network Monitor say when you login and get the 404? What address is it trying to load?
