I have started having problem of website being slowed down dramatically in the last three weeks.
After examinig it appears that S2 takes up 50% of the resources of my website. I have installed S2 on June, 1 and it seemed to work fine until recently.
Does anyone have this probem? Is there a solution for this, please? Thank you!
Wow, I didn’t realize that people still used that P3 plugin. It was good in its day (five years ago) but even GoDaddy have given up on it and haven’t brought out any updates for a couple of years. At this point, it is basically useless as a diagnostic tool.
In years of using s2Member, I can say that, every time someone has thought that it was causing a site to slow down, that has turned out to be wrong. s2Member is just the canary in the coal mine. Something else is causing the problems on your site.
Try using the Query Monitor plugin and your browser’s inspector tools (hit F12) to find out where the problem really lies.
