S2 member form with donation

I’ve been using s2member for quite a few years. I have a client that needs a form that includes a donation (member adds $ amount) that is then added to their membership fee before checkout. Problem is your recommended solution uses EZphp which is no longer a functioning plugin. It was something used years ago. Is there a new version of “how to” accomplish this? If not, I’ll unfortunately have to go to another membership plugin.

We created our own solution for this by creating our own form that submits to PayPal. We reverse-engineered the button code and added a field for donations.
