Retain User Fields Upon Demotion

I cant seem to find the answer to this one. If a user gets demoted to level 0, all of there fields are deleted.
I would imagine its a click of button, but where?!!

It’s a setting of the exactly custom field. Set it to be active (usable, etc, forgot the exactly wording) to all levels, and it will not be deleted.

Applicable Membership Levels: ???
I have it marked, but if I demote a user from WP users. then switch to that user, it loses all info.

You have it marked as what? Is is set to apply to level 0?
