Restricted Files Open in New Browser Tab

I’m working on a reference site using s2member to restrict certain files. I’ve got it setup and working which is great. However, I can’t seem to find any way to make it so that when you click on a link to a restricted file, it opens up in a new browser tab. Instead, it automatically downloads the file.

Is there any way to make that happen?
