Renewals and payment gateway question

Hi All, I manage a existing site that has the s2member pro version activated and fully up to date, a member tried to renew their membership using the Stripe renewal option. She had paid via paypal originally. This did not work for her.

I assume the renewals will only work if the person uses the original payment renewal gateway? Paypal for paypal, Stripe for Stripe?

And on that note, can a person change their payment options start paying via Stripe if they have in the past paid through paypal, or does an admin have to do it?

I have been happy with S2member and will be buying the pro version for another site soon but need to figure this out.

Alexa, if you want a member to change to a new payment processor, you will need to cancel their subscription with the current payment processor. This can be done either by the admin or by having the member use a Billing Cancellation Form. Then you can have them use a Billing Modification Form to have them sign up with Stripe.
