Redirect after PayPal purchase not working correctly

Our website is using the latest version of S2Member Pro.

We have a PayPal button where users can subscribe to a recurring yearly subscription to our professional organization. After successful PayPal purchase, we are expecting users to be redirected to “websiteurl/account”, which is the Login Welcome Page.

Instead, users are being redirected to “websiteurl/account/join-api”, which is our Membership Options Page.

As far as I can tell, our options in the plugin are set up correctly. We have the correct PayPal API keys and signatures set up as well…

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

It seems I have solved this by generating my PayPal button within S2Member.

Now my issue is the WP site is not sending registration emails with password creds to new users
