Quick translation with accented Vietnamese phrases?

Hi there! I create the directory and file /wp-content/mu-plugins/s2member-o.php
The phrases in my Free Registration Form are greatly changed when replaced by unsigned phrases.

My problem is that I want to replace the original phrases with Vietnamese phrases - of course, with signs, i.e. Tạo Hồ Sơ, Tên, Họ, …

I open the file s2member-o.php and paste the code, then it is saved to my computer as a php file, Unicode format. Next, I uploaded the file to the server, overwriting the old file with the same name s2member-o.php.

But when I visit the website, I see the blank page. Please show me how can I replace the phrases in my Free Registration Form with accented Vietnamese phrases?

I tried saving the file in UTF-8 format and fortunately, I changed the phrases into accented phrases.

I wouldn’t alter the s2member-o.php file. If you need to translate some lines, this may be better: https://s2member.com/kb-article/quick-translation-changing-wordsphrases/

I do not understand why saving the file s2member-o.php in UTF-8 format is not good? Because I use this to keep the accented Vietnamese phrase intact, unchanged and it looks good to me.:thinking:
