I have a site up and running using S2member for months. I protect some pages using custom capability code “board”.
All appears to be working ok but I have just realised that if I search on Google I can find some of the pdfs that are linked to on protected pages coming up in Google search results. If you click on the link the pdf loads no problem.

These files are very sensitive
What do I need to do to recover this situation fast?
I have been reading posts and it appears I need to create a sub-directory named after my custom capability name under the directory s2member-files
I assume I then need to put the pdf I need protecting there.
So I have done this and put some pdf files in there
I have done this using file manager. How can the person who normally manages this site and only has access to the admin area of word press site
- upload pdfs that need to be protected to the new directory and not the stand media directory
- Link that pdf to text on the page.
