Protected bbpress forum replies displaying publicly

Hey guys,
I have successfully protected a bbpress forum, and it’s topics using s2 member pro. However, the forum search, as well as the bbpress replies widget continue to show the replies to users who are logged in, but do not have permission to that forum.

I know this may initially sound like a bbpress issue, but I think it may be a S2 issue for the following reason. When a forum is protected using an S2 custom capability, that restriction is passed down to it’s topics. You can see that in the topics WP page (the S2 lock symbol shows there). However the subsequent relies on that topic do not inherit the restriction.

This does sound like an s2Member issue. I think you should report it to the developers on GitHub. If you don’t have a GitHub account, and don’t want to open one, let me know and I’ll open the issue for you. Is there any visual indication available that the s2Member restriction is not inherited by topic replies? (I’m not a bbPress expert and don’t currently have it installed on any sites I manage.) If so, could you include a screenshot either in your GitHub issue or in the reply asking me to create the issue?
