Problem authorising recurring payments

Hi there,

I have S2member Pro and I’m having trouble with paypal payments.

When a member signs up they can complete the form and pay but I get an email from paypal saying “you’ve received a payment, please go to your account to approve it” apparently something is set to not automatically accept the recurring payments. but when I go to paypal I can’t see anywhere where I can accept or decline payments, a few weeks after the payment goes back to the sender?

I’ve emailed paypal and this was the response
Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding S2member pro reoccurring payments.
If you cannot collect on the payments from the subscriptions and also that it is a authorize and capture (having to collect the payment) this system,m is programmed into the button that S2member pro have created for you.
To fix this you need to contact the other S2member pro and they will be able change the functionality of the subscription button, this will not change subscriptions already running they will need to be closed and resubmitted when your third party have amended the coding on the button

I’m at a bit of a lose of what to do? I should confirm I dont use a button I use the Paypal Pro form connected to my business account.

Any help would be great.

Is your default currency in PayPal the one you’re billing in. If it’s not you can try setting up a second currency that matches what you bill in. This worked for me.
