Probably a dumb question

Hi there,

So here’s the question:

If a person goes into my site and starts the checkout process directly (either via PayPal button or Stripe pro form) without having a Wordpress account first on my website, will they have a Wordpress user account after they complete checkout?

If you’re using the pro-forms, yes. The pro-form acts as a registration form when the person is not logged in.

If you’re using the buttons, then no, the checkout will complete and then he still needs to register the account.

Thank you for the clarification. I decided to hide the PayPal button checkout for now. I don’t use pro forms for PayPal, so Stripe will do.

If you use the button, the user will be sent to a registration page automatically. If the automatic forwarding does not work, they receive an email with a link as well.
