Paypal Options will not save

Hey there, I’m new to S2 member, and I think I’ve done everything right up to this point. The problem is when I fill out my Paypal information in the ‘Paypal Options’ and hit save all changes, I get hit with this:

This site can’t be reached

The connection was reset.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

I have all the correct Paypal info, and I’m really not sure what I’m doing wrong. Help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Are you trying to set this up on a local WordPress installation (that is, on your desktop)? I’ve never seen a “Windows Network Diagnostics” message except on a local connection.

In any case, are you using HTTPS (do you have a valid SSL certificate on the website)? I’m not sure, but the connection might be rejected at PayPal if you aren’t using HTTPS. That’s a weird error message for that circumstance, but if you are using a local WordPress install that might be what you get.

Haha! That was it! Turns out I didn’t have an SSL (again, I’m new to this whole thing). It took a while, and I temporarily locked myself out of my own website, but I got it, and now the Papal options save just fine! Thank you so much!
