I copied the generated paypal button from S2 member, pasted it to my web editor where the button is suppose to appear. The button just wouldnt show up. I tested on another plain html page with nothing else and it also does not show up.

Are you using some sort of page builder plugin? If so, it’s highly unlikely to work. It needs to be pasted into the regular WP edit screen.
On the first video you put the shortcode in “href” attribute of a link - no way to work, shortcode generates a form.
On the second video is shows and hides: this is a CSS problem.
