Page load very slow after enabling button encryption

hi there
this problem has been a while
if i tick the option for button encryption, then my page that includes the paypal button payment is very slow

if i dont have it enabled, my users can change the url of the amount=xxx to just $1 and cheat the payment.

anyway to get around this pls
