No Registration Confirmation Email Being Delivered To New User

Hi forum, I am testing my membership free user registrations. I create a new user in a Cognito browser using my Gmail email account. When I check to see if a confirmation email has been sent by S2 member there’s nothing in my inbox or my spam folder. I have tried with both my Stripe Pro Form and the default WP registration form.

It seems that WP is registering the new user I can see it in the user logs. I seem that S2member is registering the user because I see it in the S2member User Registration Processed Logs. The thing is the confirmation email is not being sent.

Hi Cristian, It’s good to hear from you, I hope you’re doing well. I have done the troubleshooting procedures in that article before I opened the support query in the forum. I even tried using WP Mail SMTP plugin with no success. What I intend to do now is to retry creating a new subdomain in my cPanel for my main membership URL. and use Mailgun to process my emails. If I do it that way will I need to configure my subdomain to receive emails as well or will sending email be good enough?

If you turn off S2Member registration customisation in S2Member General Options (Login/Registration Design) do you get the emails?

Are you using any other email modifying plugins like “Better Notifications for WordPress”? (known problem delivering registration emails… see https://wordpress.org/support/topic/new-registered-user-notification-does-not-worl/ ).
