New User Registration Email and MailChimp list issues

Ok so I have two issues.

I am using s2Member (not pro). I have integrated paypal and Mailchimp. IPN and PDT are configured and enabled in Paypal. Mailchimp list server is configured.

Issue 1: When I test purchase a subscription through paypal it allows me to pay and then takes me to the grey paypal screen saying I will receive an email within 15 minutes. I only receive a paypal confirmation email, not the new user registration email from Wordpress/S2 member. This only happens when I purchase a subscription. If I register for free, I get an account confirmation email from Wordpress/S2 member.

Issue 2: I have it configured to automatically add paid members to a specified Mailchimp list - this is not happening with paid members, but it works with free members.

What is causing the free option to work, but not the paid options? Any idea how to resolve these issues?

Also - Do you guys have any alternative methods of testing with paypal rather than going and actually purchasing a subscription with a different paypal account every time?

Is user still processed? Did he go to the new level?

Check your MC configuration, maybe you miss something, like a wrong list ID…

Problem is that Paypal has no alternative methods - even his own sandbox don’t works… But you can delete your testing user in your site and use same Paypal account with a tiny amount to test.

  1. User is processed in paypal only. Not added to s2member/wordpress at all.

I figured it out. I had the wrong URL in the IPN field in paypal. Fixed it and everything works fine now!
