Members area creation

I have read that I can create a members area using the shortcode-list.

Before I go any further I would like to explain what I would like to achieve and then see if it is technically possible.

I have about 400 students and I want to create a members area for them. the thing is, I want the 400 people to be able to access the same place and place announcements there and share files that all members can download, while at the same time sharing files (confidential) ones to each individual member.

Is this possible in S2 pro?

Yes, use [s2m conditionals] to create need logic of who can read/download the specific content, on the same page (or subpages) where you place the profile shortcode.
