Make level 0 posts open to public

Hello,

I would like to make some level 0 posts open to public. I have configured them within categories, The category I would like to make Public is “CURSO GRATUTO”

What I tried Under Restriction Options and without success.
I ruled out the default “all” for level 1 posts,
I included the post number under level 0 REstriction Options,
I indicated the category “cursogratuito”, curso-gratuito and none of them work

Please, help me have this category open to public

Thank you very much!

Liliana

Hi Liliana.

Level 0 is not public, it requires the person to be logged in. For public content you should not have any restriction applied to it.

Hello, Cristian and thank you so much for your reply.

Sorry as I don´t fully understand the system.
Where you say “For public content you should not have any restriction applied to it.”
I understand, then, that I have to still allow for a registration, even whten the registration is free, right??
Now , given the fact that registration is a condition, then these posts will NOT be indexed in Google, right??

Please advice, as I am interested in having the content indexed in Google as well

Thank you very much!!

Right, Google will only index public content, i.e. content not restricted in any way, what a visitor sees.

If you want content indexed by Google, you have to keep it public. What you can do, though, is protect the content on a page with conditionals so part of it is visible to visitors, and the rest only to logged in users, for example, but only the public part of that content will be indexed. https://s2member.com/kb-article/s2if-simple-shortcode-conditionals/

Yes, you can allow free registration, no problem, that’d give them level 0 access by default.

Hi,
Again, I appreciate your tip very much !!

Please notice that what I am looking to do is to offer the content completely free to public and have the whole content indexed in Google to capture further visitors.

This is a free course, with 36 sessions. (36 posts)
There is a link to registration for further content within each session, so removing part of the content is not going to work for my purpose of capturing more visitors.

As I did not like the look of 36 pages below the Title of the course, I thought offering them through posts was the correct way.

NOw, as far as I can understand the only way to serve this is through pages?? If not, all further suggestions will be so much appreciated!!

Again thank you in advance

You can post your content in posts or pages, whatever you prefer, it’s just a WordPress site. And if you don’t apply any restriction to them, they’ll be public by default.

Whatever you want to protect so the person is required to login to view, then you’ll put at level 0.
