Login welcome page for author

Have site login welcome page correctly set and all members are redirected there. Now I want an Author to be redirected when logged in into another specific page which will also have the Dashboard and editing facilities. Have granted the user the Author role but the login page is that like the other users.

s2Member doesn’t control any roles other than s2Member roles.

What you need to do is give the author an s2Member role that isn’t currently in use. If necessary, you can use a plugin like Capability Manager Enhanced to add to that role any capabilities typically associated with the author role.
