Issues after deletion

Hi, I’ve deleted the plugin from my clients site and since this I’m now receiving the ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.’ error when accessing the site via wp-admin. I can’t access the dashboard unless I click on the updates icon which then takes me there.

When I go into user roles the s2 member roles are still there, even though the plugin has been deleted.

Please can someone help resolve this issue?

thanks

That is a WP message when you try to access an option page of a deleted/deactivated plugin. Please show us the URL.

Thanks. The URL is http://startingtoheal.com/

To delete s2Member completely, you need to reinstall it and then follow the instructions here: https://s2member.com/kb-article/how-do-i-uninstall-s2member/

I meant to show us the exactly URL, what show this message, should be to s2M options page, which don’t exists…

I check entrance of your /wp-admin, daw the captcha and the login form (and no “register” link?), so seems it works, as far I can see “outside”. If you still have problems, please find me on private message.

I did that and the problem is still there

Thanks. The problem only happens after I log in so it’s the page once you’ve entered your login details.

You must have some access to the Dashboard because you said that when you “went int User Roles” the s2Member roles are still there. How are you getting there? What @Krumch is trying to get at is the URL for the page you are being restricted from accessing. s2Member roles don’t actually have anything to do with Admin access to the dashboard (unless you’ve overwritten your Administrator role with an s2Member role?

Try accessing yourdomain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php by typing the URL into your browser. If you can get there reinstall s2Member and then delete it by following the directions Tim linked to. If you can’t get there you are probably going to need to take a look at your database directly.
