How to enable guest checkout w paypal standard?

I am trying, rather unsuccessfully - to get a GUEST checkout option when paying on my site.

I have gone back and forth w paypal about 10 times, and now finally after speaking at length w their integration department - they are telling me - that it has to be done via s2Member.

I have no idea why it’s not showing up (www.gasdigitalnetwork.com) and looking for some help on the matter.

I submitted a ticket to s2member - but they say up to 48 hour response time - and I am getting a barrage of email complaints about this.

Please advise.

You haven’t really explained what you are trying to achieve. A guest checkout option for what?

We have a subscription service. That's also why I gave you the website.

When a customer tries to subscribe . They do not have a guest checkout option in PayPal. They must create or have a PayPal account.

I need them to have the option to only use a cc.

Does that make sense ???

Ah, “guest” from PayPal’s point of view, not s2Member’s. Got it!

My suggestion would be to use the Pro version of s2Member and then use Stripe instead of (or alongside) PayPal.

So it's not possible w PayPal? PayPal says it should be. Trying to have all the money in one place. Less confusing.

It is possible via PayPal, but Stripe is so much easier and PayPal such a hassle that I’d always suggest avoiding PayPal whenever possible!

However, if you want to do it with PayPal, then you need to paste the shortcode you’re using here.

Is it possible to switch existing people over to stripe ? As it's a reoccurring payment.

No, unless someone has developed some custom solution for doing it.

You’d have to cancel the subscription and get the member to re-subscribe. (I’d probably offer the incentive of a discount coupon to help this transition. The amount of time and money it would save you would probably be worth it.)

Is there someone here who can help me set up stripe?

To be honest, there’s nothing to it. Just follow the instructions in Stripe Options.

I did. But I don't see how to get the button in my site. .. and we have multiple subscription options w discount codes

Stripe uses a form, not a button, for which you generate a shortcode in Stripe Pro Forms in much the same way that you generate Pro forms for PayPal.
