How to change customers recurring subscription?

Hello,

I had a customer sign up for a certain membership level on my site. However it appears that my Pro-Form level had the wrong subscription period in the shortcode when they signed up.

My shortcode was set to “rp=1, rt=Y, rr=1” for a recurring one year subscription, when it was suppose to be set to “rp=2, rt=Y, rr=1” for an every two years recurring subscription.

The users subscription is now set to renew 1 year early instead of two years, and they have brought this to our attention.

How do I change the users subscription, and set their next billing date to 2 years from now instead of 1, on the same membership level, as this was an error when then user signed up, and they aren’t actually upgrading or renewing?

I cannot find a way inside paypal to change the billing date.

Thanks!

As far as I remember, PayPal doesn’t allow you to edit the subscription…

What you can do is cancel the current subscription giving him the money back, and have him resubscribe with the correct one.

I offer people a 31-day trial to my membership site. And sometimes they do not log in or get the initial login details until much later. To rectify the situation I go to Paypal and update the subscription billing date. It is very easy to do. Just go to recurring payments, click the person’s profile and the click “modify” and change the date.

I hope that helps.

Ryan
