How do I make one user an Author? s2Member Pro

I have two paid levels tied to Membership Level (Individual or Household).
I want to make one user an Author. Do I have to change her Role to Author, and make sure I have another field that tells me which type of Membership she signed up for?
OR
Can I add Custom Capabilities in the Member Profile?
I could add ‘delete_posts’, ‘delete_published_posts’, ‘edit_posts’, etc.
If that’s the answer, is there a guide for how to do that?

Hi Sue.

s2Member works with the s2Member Level roles for access, so changing the user to an Author role would prevent this, unless you add s2Member access capabilities to the Author role.

Another option, as you guessed, is to add Author capabilities to the s2Member Level role.
