How can i hide part of the post?

Hi

I have WP cooking blog ,and i want to sell my recipes (posts).
I don’t want to use subscription plans ,because i want to give each recipe a different price .
I want the viewer to read a preview of the recipe only (i.e before MORE tag ) ,and if he want to read the whole recipe ,he should pay for it .
I do not have members or subscription plans, every one who pay will be able to access my post , he can read only preview of the recipe and after he pay he will be able to read the whole recipe.

How can i do it ?

Without memberships you can’t do this on the same page with s2Member. You could, however, show an excerpt from the recipe page (you might have to create it manually) and sell the access with specific post/page access: https://s2member.com/kb-article/understanding-specific-postpage-access-restrictions/. When the visitor purchases access he’ll get a link that allows him to access the page.

That is possible to do on the same page, but needs ccaps and some code. Please check that manual for more info.

You can’t assign “ccaps” without membership @krumch. :wink:

Agree! But “membership in the site” doesn’t means to be a “paid subscription plan”. So anyone needs just an account in the site, and can have ccaps.

I took him at his word I do not have members or subscription plans, but of course you’re right.
