Help with self hosted player

Hello guys,

Can anyone share the self hosted version of Jwplayer v6 or v7?

With the new versions this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=ZTopRQQAELw don’t apply any more.

Or does anyone knows how to integrate an alternative?

I need help but I don’t know programming.

By the way, the purpose is to protect my videos with the RTMP protocol through AWS.

Why are you asking in an S2member forum? What does this have to do with s2member support?

It’s my understanding that the s2member team is working on this.

I don’t use any AWS expiring links and use VideoJS when I need more JavaScript API or Vimeo.

But in my opinion you can’t protect web video.

Even if you put all the restrictions in place someone that wanted to take it could just screen capture and share.

And protecting can accidentally prevent your paying users from accessing.

Even big names like Russel Brunson host on YouTube private links.

Sure, paying customers can share the links, but you know ALL of your paying customers will have content delivered.

And the ones that steal just might need consulting someday so it’s free advertising.

If you see the plugin:
s2member (Pro) -> Download Options -> JW Player v7 & RTMP Protocol Examples.

That’s the reason.

What do you suggest instead?

I agree with your thoughts.

However, I’m trying to secure my content as much as “possible”.

At the moment I’m on Vimeo but there is an Chrome extension that downloads everything with just one click.

I understand that it’s impossible to secure something 100% but if I can achieve 80% instead of 70% I would prefer it rather.
