Help setting up free membership and registration

Hi

I am new to this plugin and hope someone can point me in the right direction to achieve the following:

  • I want a user to be able to register - there is no cost associated with this
  • Their registration then needs to be approved before they can access the protected areas of the website

  1. Set up General Options, and set Allow Open Registrations? to Yes.
  2. For Restriction Options, protect every post or page (that you want to keep for approved members) at level 1.
  3. Now users will be able to register at level 0, but they won’t be able to access anything except the Login Welcome Page.
  4. To approve them, upgrade them manually to level 1.

Thanks so much for your help.

I have now done the above and if I try to access any of the pages marked as Level 1 it takes me to the Membership Sign-Up page.

This page currently has nothing on it. How to I add the registration / login form to this page?

Christine,

At the moment, to generate a free form shortcode, you still need to go to either the Stripe or PayPal forms section. There are plans, I believe to put the free forms somewhere else to make it less confusing, but that’s where you’ll find them now.

The login page will remain the default WordPress login page.
