Getting started help - registration and paid membership levels?

Hi,
I’m testing the free version right now and having some hard time getting started.

After installing the plugin I’ve got the newly designed s2member registration form, with the custom fields I created, but there is no field for selecting a membership level, or paying for it…

I’m trying to allow only paid registrations (level 1 / level 2, with different monthly prices, and both with a free trial) - how can I do that?

I understand that I can create a page and put some paypal buttons - but this takes the user directly to paypal for making a payment - that doesn’t have anything to do with the actual registration to the website (create the user, set his level…).

I couldn’t find an explanation for this process in the docs, so I’m not sure what I’m missing…

I’m afraid that there is no such thing with the free version. What you actually have is a redesigned WordPress registration form. That’s why you can’t find anything about levels 1 and 2, etc to do with it.

If you want to use forms, you will need the Pro version of s2member.

I’m not sure what you’ve done either. It sounds like you haven’t used the shortcode generators to create a registration/sales form yet. See this kba:
